Geothermal Energy May Power Solomon Islands (Audio - Radio Australia)
Geodynamics CEO Geoff Ward explains geothermal energy to Radio Australia (AUDIO 10:38 Minutes).
According to research done by company Geodynamics, geothermal resources at Savo Island could be sufficient to power Honiara and surrounding areas. It is considered to be both sustainable and environmentally friendly and has support from local land owners.
It is hoped that the project will be operating by 2017.
