Iceland Geothermal Conference Opens in Reykjavík (IcelandReview)

The international Iceland Geothermal Conference, supported by the GRC, opened in Reykjavík yesterday. In his opening speech, foreign minister Össur Skarphéðinsson spoke about the development of geothermal energy in Iceland and how it had transformed the nation.

The minister also welcomed the historic collaboration between the World Bank and Iceland in the African Rift Geothermal Development Program.
