Rantau Dedap Geothermal Power Plant Signs PPA with State Utility (Tempo Interaktif)

Indonesian state electricity company PT. PLN (Persero) has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap. The Rantau Dedap geothermal power plant (PLTP), located in Muara Enim, South Sumatra, will have a capacity of 2x 110 MWe. “The purchase price is US$8.86 cents per kilowatt-hour,” Nur Pamudji, PLN CEO, said after the signing at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry.

PLTP Rantau Dedap will begin operation in 2017: Unit I will start commercial operations in January and then Units I and II will operate fully in March. An estimated 1,734.5 gigawatt-hour of electricity will be generated.
