Oregon-based utility Portland General Electric Co. (PGE) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for renewable energy resources.
The RFP seeks approximately 100 MWe of renewable energy, including wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, biogas and hydroelectric projects. Each project must be at least 10 MWe.
PGE says it may acquire a single resource or a mix of resources in order to achieve the total desired renewable energy target, and the utility anticipates that the resources will be brought into the company’s portfolio between 2013 and 2017.
PGE intends to submit a benchmark proposal in the renewable energy RFP process, which will be due by Oct. 30. Bids from outside parties are due by Nov. 13. More information is available here.
