USA, Wyoming:

New Report Issued on the Benefits of Geothermal Use in Wyoming (News Release)

Bob Lawrence & Associates, Inc., in partnership with the Geo-Heat Center of the Oregon Institute of Technology, announces the release of a report entitled "The Economic, Environmental, and Social Benefits of Geothermal Use in Wyoming."

The report was written by GRC member Andrew Chiasson of the
Geo‐Heat Center.

Wyoming has significant geothermal potential for future uses; much of the state's geothermal resources are undeveloped. The potential of electricity generation from coproduced geothermal fluids from oil fields is significant.

The Wyoming report is supported by the U.S. Department of Energy through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
