Sustainable: University of Minnesota startup has first licensee for technology (finance & commerce)
A South Dakota startup working to commercialize a new technology developed by University of Minnesota has landed its first client.
Heat Mining Company LLC, a startup developed at the university and housed in Rapid City, S.D., will soon announce the client’s name. Ken Carpenter, managing director, said in an email that a large global company has agreed to license the technology, called CO2 Plume Geothermal (also known as CPG).
