Inauguration of World's First Hybrid Energy Plant in Nevada - Video (KRNV - Reno)

The world's first hybrid solar-geothermal project is located in a field, about 12 miles northeast of Fallon. Enel Green Power inaugurated the Stillwater project during a ceremony today.

According to Francesco Venturini, head of Enel Green Power, the integration of the two technologies brings significant benefits. Venturini says the quality of energy is higher when solar and geothermal energy are combined.

Governor Brian Sandoval praised Enel for its innovation and leadership. Sandoval says the project means jobs and economic growth for Nevada. (VIDEO - 2:04 Minutes)
