Copper Company Seeks Argentine Geothermal Power To Fuel $7B Ramp-Up (Law 360)

An Xstrata Copper subsidiary is seeking to purchase 50 megawatts of geothermal electricity for its Argentine mining operation, an energy supplier said Tuesday as the company renews its commitment to a $7 billion initiative to increase copper production by more than 60 percent over three years.
