Update - BLM Studying Geothermal Leasing in San Luis Valley (9news.com - Denver)

The Colorado Bureau of Land Management is giving the public a chance to comment on a preliminary environmental assessment of geothermal energy leasing in the San Luis Valley. The original deadline to comment was Tuesday, but the BLM now intends to close the comment period April 24.

The assessment identifies public lands with the potential for geothermal development. It also lists stipulations to be applied to any future leases.
