The government of Japan has guaranteed an initial $30 million to advance Bolivia’s Laguna Colorada geothermal project, according to Business News Americas.
The 100 MW plant is one of the flagship projects for state power company Ende. Studies are currently underway. The project is expected to be online in 2015 and will also supply the grid with a 230 kV, 172 km transmission line and two substations.
