The Nevada Public Utility Commission is allowing U.S. Geothermal to increase its existing agreement of 3.6 MW of geothermal energy to 19.9 MW from its two power-generation units at San Emidio, located in Washoe County, Nevada.
Phase I of the San Emidio Project, which features one of soon-to-be-four 8.6 MW (net) water-cooled binary cycle plants, has achieved mechanical completion and is now awaiting commissioning.
