(From Google Translate) The Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE) decided to advance one month the integration of the Las Pailas II Geothermal Plant to the National Electric System (SEN) due to the effects that the drought that the country has been experiencing has had on hydroelectric generation.
According to the state-owned company, the 55-megawatt installed capacity project will start operations in May and not June as originally planned, becoming the first geothermal plant in Costa Rica with 100% of its wells drilled with Directional technique and not vertical.
