The Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) has announced more details of events at the world’s largest annual geothermal conference, held this year in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, October 1-4, 2017.

Just before the start of the GRC Annual Meeting & GEA Geo Expo+, the GRC Annual Charity Golf Tournament will take place October 1 at the Mountain Dell Golf Course just 16 miles from the conference site. Registration for the tournament is now open.

This year the proceeds from the tournament will go to the GRC Scholarship Fund.

The Canyon Course, situated 16 miles east of downtown Salt Lake City and at an altitude of 6,000 feet above sea level, offers 18 holes of breathtaking views and frequent glimpses of wildlife. The higher elevation provides ideal summer and early fall golfing conditions. The golf-ball will fly a little bit further!

More details of the tournament can be found on the GRC website at www.geothermal.org. Download the GRC Annual Charity Golf Tournament Brochure and fill out a registration form which can be mailed or faxed to the GRC office. Online registration is also available.

The GRC Annual Meeting & GEA GeoExpo+ is the industry’s largest annual gathering of leading geothermal energy scientists, producers, renewable energy industry stakeholders, regulators, utilities, and key associated business leaders. The four-day event will offer technical, policy, and market conference sessions, educational seminars, tours of local geothermal and renewable energy projects, and numerous networking opportunities.

Registration to the GRC Annual Meeting will open in July and will also include entry to the GEA Expo. Room reservations can now be made on the GRC website at www.geothermal.org. A discounted room rate is available until September 5, so early reservations are recommended.
