Canada: First Well at Canoe Reach Geothermal Project Expected to Spud in Coming Days

Canoe Reach Drilling To Commence Soon (Borealis GeoPower Inc.)

Borealis GeoPower Inc. has announced that on May 29, 2018 the BC Oil and Gas Commission issued four geothermal resource well authorizations for thermal gradient wells on its Canoe Reach Geothermal Project, south of Valemount B.C.

The well authorizations will allow the company to begin drilling for collection of geotechnical and temperature gradient information.

This represents the first time the Commission has issued a well authorization under the Geothermal Resource Act. The first well is expected to spud in the coming days.
