USA: Opportunity to Provide Geothermal Energy Drilling Training - The United States Energy Association (USEA) is inviting prospective organizations or individuals through this Request for Proposal (RFP) to submit proposals for two trainings for geothermal drilling operations. RFP Closing Date: Aug 3, 2018.
St. Kitts and Nevis: Tests Indicate High Permeability at Nevis Geothermal Power Project- Injection testing of TEP’s first exploration well demonstrated that the resource is highly permeable.

USA, Washington: Geothermal Exploratory Drilling at Mount Baker Site to Begin in September - Two holes will be drilled near each volcano. Each 2-inch-wide, 1,600-foot-deep hole — about the size of a water well and as deep as about two and a half Space Needles — will take about two weeks to drill.
Australia: Invitation to Provide Information on Geothermal Projects Down Under - The Australian Geothermal Association (AGA) is conducting a census of Australian geothermal projects to more accurately and effectively highlight the positive aspects of this renewable energy industry.

USA, Nevada: Registration Opens for Geothermal Golf Tournament - Just before the start of the GRC Annual Meeting & Expo, the GRC Annual Charity Golf Tournament will take place October 14 at the Sunridge Golf Club in Carson City, south of Reno. Registration for the tournament is now open.

USA: $3.6 Million Available for Projects Involving Machine Learning for Geothermal Energy- The Geothermal Technologies Office (GTO) will fund projects to support new analytical tools for finding and developing geothermal resources, to establish the practice of machine learning in the geothermal industry, and maximize the value of the rich datasets utilized in the geosciences.
