Uganda: New Software Highlights Geothermal Resources

Uganda enables a sustainable future with geoscience data (News Release)

Geosoft, a Canadian subsidiary of multinational Seequent, together with a global consortium, deliver on a key project to help support a sustainable future for Uganda

Seequent today announced the launch of the Uganda Geoscience Data Portal, supported by an international consortium that aims to improve the geoscience understanding of the Jinja and Mbarara regions in Uganda to stimulate sustainable socio-economic investment.

The portal makes geoscience data freely available to encourage investment. The primary aim is to encourage mineral exploration and support better early stage decision making. At the same time, the data resources will benefit: environmental and land-use planning, water resource management and sustainable energy development such as geothermal.
