Several geothermal resources information management best practice in developed countries have been summarized to set the standard of what parameters should be checked and assured during the preparation of geothermal preliminary data in order to provide high-quality information about the resources potential. Aspects including; data types, field staff qualification, tools and equipment, data acquisition methodology, data processing procedure, data completeness check, reporting & presentation as well as data storage and dissemination procedure were also explained to give clear illustration that a good assessment from a quality assured preliminary data could deliver necessary references in defining the success of any geothermal field development campaign.
