Europe: €10 Million Made Available for Enhanced Geothermal Systems Projects

H2020: €626 million requested for clean energy projects (News Release)

The Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) of the EU Commission has received 83 energy research project proposals by the deadline of the Low-Carbon Energy call. The total available budget is €105 million.

Successful projects are expected to demonstrate clean energy technology and propose near-to-market solutions for renewable energy sources. In total, nine topics were open for application in this round of the Low-Carbon Energy call.

€10 m has been made available for projects in Enhanced Geothermal Systems in different geological conditions. There has been  eight applications for this funding.

The results of the evaluation will be known no later than 07 February 2018. The selection of projects will be done by external independent experts. These evaluators are drawn from the European Commission's database.
