Indonesia: Drilling Rigs On the Way to 240 MW Sorik Merapi Geothermal Power Project

KS Orka Renewables Pte Ltd of Singapore has secured the necessary regulatory consents to acquire 100% ownership of OTP Geothermal Pte Ltd (OTP) and develop the 240 MW Sorik Merapi Geothermal Power Project in North Sumatra, Indonesia.

KS Orka has already mobilized the first drilling rig for the project by issuing a Notice To Proceed to the drilling contractor Dati Parker. KS Orka plans to mobilize a second rig within two weeks for the project. The KS Orka team aims for bringing the first pilot power plant into operation in 2017.
