Using geothermal resources can provide economic development opportunities for countries in the form of energy savings, taxes, royalties, technology export, and jobs. The GeoDH project co-funded by the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme drafted recommendations on how to overcome administrative, legal and financial barriers including a shared know-how transfer based on best practices.
