California:

Geothermal Supplies Over One-Third of Renewable Energy in California

Geothermal energy provided over a third of renewable energy in California last year according to the 2012 Annual Report on Market Issues and Performance (PDF) from the California Independent System Operator (ISO).

Geothermal provided approximately 34 percent of renewable energy in 2012, or about 4 percent of overall system energy. However, for the first time, generation from wind resources directly connected to the ISO grid exceeded that from geothermal, becoming the largest source of renewable generation inside California.
