Mary O'Kane joins KUTh Energy board (Marianas Variety)

KUTh Energy Ltd., the geothermal company selected by the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. to drill and develop renewable geothermal energy in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, has announced to the Australian Securities Exchange that Professor Mary O’Kane will join its board of directors on Aug. 9.

O’Kane joins a well-qualified KUTh team that includes such notables as Jefferson Tester, David Croll Professor of Sustainable Energy Systems in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University.

For the past three years, O’Kane has chaired the Australian Centre for Renewable Energy, the head Australian government agency responsible for administering the Australian government’s renewable energy support initiatives.
