The Geophysics Section of the School of Cosmic Physics, Dublin Institute for Advanced Study, invites applications for a Ph.D. studentship in seismology, applied to geothermal research. The position is funded by Science Foundation Ireland through the new project SIM-CRUST.
The project will comprise seismic imaging and monitoring of Ireland's crust, resulting in detailed models of the crustal seismic structure and anisotropy and aimed at multi-disciplinary assessment of the island's geothermal resources.
