Our Innovation team are moving forward with a mine energy programme which has the potential to heat 180 million homes across the UK. Mine water could be a real contribution helping the UK achieve its ambitious target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Working as a hydrogeologist in this team, you'll be developing knowledge of underground mine water levels, mine gasses and thermal behaviours throughout the coalfields of UK. We'll use this data to advance commercial opportunities related` to water, geothermal energy, energy storage and cooling.
