United Kingdom: Geothermal Spa at Jubilee Pool to Open in November - Penzance's iconic lido opened its gates today for the start of its 2019 season inviting swimmers to bathe in the new pool area, which is expected to be heated to 35 degrees Celsius when the geothermal heating system is operational in November.

Latin America: EOI for Geothermal Development Facility Funding to Open July 16 - The Geothermal Development Facility (GDF) will open its fourth call to Expressions of Interest (EOI) from July 16 to August 29, 2019. We are very interested in knowing about your project. It can be the beginning of great opportunities for your project and the development of geothermal energy in Latin America.

New Zealand: Government Provides Funding for Silica from Geothermal Brine Project- Geo40 has developed a technology where silica is extracted from water in geothermal power stations before it flows back to the reservoir. Geo40 built a demonstration silica removal plant at its Ohaaki geothermal site.

United Kingdom: Drilling Rig Being Demobilized at United Downs Deep Geothermal Power Project - We finished drilling our injection well, UD-2, at the end of June and have now started the process of demobilising the drilling rig.

El Salvador: Turboden Supplies 8 MW ORC Turbine to Berlin Geothermal Project- Turboden has signed an agreement with La Geo for the supply of an ORC geothermal power plant in El Salvador, at Berlín Geothermal Field.

Wednesday, July 10
Indonesia: Groundbreaking at 10 MW Dieng Plateau Geothermal Project - PT Geodipa Energi (Persero) carried out Groundbreaking for the 10 MW Small Scale PLTP [Geothermal] Project on the Dieng Plateau Geothermal Field, Central Java.

Germany: Fourth Well Drilled at Munich Geothermal District Heating Project - The start of drilling for the fifth well, a total of six wells are planned at the Schäftlarnstraße site, is scheduled for next weekend (14 July 2019).

China: Hot Dry Rock Geothermal Potential Found South of Beijing - Covering an area of 1,500 square km, the rocks can be used in fields such as power generation, heating and oil exploitation.

Colombia: Geothermal to be Included in New Renewable Energy Auction - The auction – open to wind, solar, geothermal, small hydro and wave energy – will match renewable projects of 5MW or more with potential buyers, with contracts running for 15 years.

Indonesia: Opportunity as Consultant for Flores Geothermal Island Master Plan Development - The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently implementing a project for Market Transformation towards Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (MTRE3) that requires the services of an individual to perform the work described in the above mentioned subject.
