Canada: Open House on Exploring for Geothermal Resources in the Garibaldi Volcanic Belt

Geoscience BC / Geological Survey of Canada Geothermal Research Project Open House

Thursday, 11 July 2019, 5:30 – 7:00 pm PDT
Pemberton & District Community Centre, 7390 Cottonwood St, Pemberton, BC V0N 2L0, Canada

The Geological Survey of Canada and Geoscience BC have started a new project to assess the potential for geothermal electricity generation and heat in the Garibaldi Volcanic Belt, including at Mount Meager (in British Columbia, Canada).

Join Geoscience BC staff, lead Geological Survey of Canada researcher Dr Steve Grasby and members of the research team to talk about this multi-year project. We will describe a completed summary of existing research in the area, and discuss plans for field work through the summer of 2019 and beyond. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the project. Light refreshments will be provided.
