Netherlands: Geothermal District Heating Project by Early 2018

Groningen geothermal project aimed at carbon neutral goal (Decentralized Energy)

Groningen is the site of an ambitious geothermal district heating project, part of an overarching initiative to make the Dutch city energy neutral by 2035.

IF Technology and Denmark-based Ross Offshore DK are partnering on servicing the project.

Both firms aim to combine their expertise for the work on this project together with the experts of WarmteStad (Thermal City). Specifically, the partners aim to work on drilling, well management and engineering. The expectation is that the geothermal project is realized between late 2017 and early 2018.
