Kenya: Jobs Available to Help Build 70 MW Akiira Geothermal Plant

Three Positions Vacant at Akiira Geothermal Project

Akiira Geothermal Limited (AGL) is developing a 70 MWe Geothermal Power Plant south of Lake Naivasha in Kenya. The company is looking to fill three positions:

Chief Executive Officer (CEO). An experienced corporate executive to serve as CEO for their Geothermal Startup Company. Reporting to the Board of Directors the CEO will provide leadership, direction and guidance, control the operation deliverables, quality assurance, safety, finance and human resources. Develop a strategic plan to advance the company’s mission and objectives, promote revenue, profitability and growth as an organization.

Company Man/Drilling Supervisor for the production drilling period 2016-2017 timeframe. The Company Man will be in charge of the drilling over 10 Geothermal Wells; development of the Power Plant will continue in parallel. The candidate should have at least 10 years of experience as a drilling company man/ supervisor dealing with geothermal wells with high enthalpy.

Project Manager (PM) for the construction period 2016-2017 timeframe. The PM will be in charge of the construction of 2 time 35 MWe single flash units plant, a steam gathering system and interconnection facilities. Development of the geothermal field will continue in parallel.
