Indonesia: 55 MW Liki Pinangawan Muaralaboh Geothermal Power Plant Gets Funded

PT Supreme Energy to Invest USD116.17 in Liki Pinangawan Muaralaboh Geothermal Power Plant Phase I in West Sumatera Province, Indonesia (renewablesbiz.com)

PT Supreme Energy Muara Laboh, a joint venture of IPR-GDF SUEZ Asia and Sumitomo Corporation, has agreed to invest USD116.67 million in the construction and development of Liki Pinangawan Muaralaboh geothermal power plant phase I situated in Solok Selatan Regency, Pauh Duo Sub-district, West Sumatera Province, Indonesia.

The total installed capacity of the geothermal power plant will be 55 MW. The investment per MW will be USD2.11 million. The construction of the geothermal power plant has been started on July 05, 2015 and is expected to be completed in mid 2018. The power generated from the geothermal power plant will be sold to PT PLN ( Persero ), the Indonesian state-owned electricity utility, under a 30 year power purchase agreement.
