Geothermal Energy Company Donates School Supplies (Manila Standard Today)

The Bacon-Manito Geothermal Project (BacMan) of Energy Development Corp. (EDC) has distributed school supplies to 4,229 elementary students in 14 schools in Sorsogon City and Manito, Albay.

Each student received packs containing pad paper, notebooks, rulers and writing instruments. Kindergarten pupils also received modeling clay, along with the common supplies given to the rest.

“We are pleased to have distributed all these school supplies to so many students in time for the school opening,” EDC Bacman Deputy Head Jay Soriano said.

“We are glad that we have somehow helped ease the cost of education for the families of these children and are making it easier for them to pursue learning.
