Geothermal Helps Kenyans to Pay Less for Electricity (Kenya Broadcasting Corporation)

Kenyans will start paying lower electricity tariffs starting next year when enormous cheaply generated geothermal power is connected to the national grid.

Geothermal Development Corporation (GDC) general manager Peter Omenda says KenGen will connect 280 MWe of geothermal power to the national grid next year with GDC injecting another 400 MWe in 2014.
