Opinion - Geothermal Development Held Back by Low Power Prices (Business News Americas)

Geothermal development in Latin America is being held back by low power prices, Bart van Campen, international project manager from the University of Auckland's geothermal institute, told BNamericas.

Peru's abundant gas and hydro resources make geothermal development less attractive, van Campen said, while in Argentina, a lack of available investment sources may prove a significant barrier to development of the technology.
